CTDA 2021 Population and Housing Census activities reach another milestone with a celebration of the Census Night which serves as a reference point for the enumeration that will be conducted later. The census night activities is celebrated to help the citizenry take a special note of the upcoming activity.
SENSITISATION ON CENSUS NIGHT THE ROLE AND CONTRIBUTION OF THE HONOURABLE ASSEMBLY MEMBER Good evening. Hope that all is well with us. Honourable Members, the first phase of the Population and Housing Census officially ended some days ago. The real enumeration is on the 28th June, that is from the midnight of 27th June 2021. The night of 27th is called CENSUS NIGHT, a night which must be remembered by all persons because we shall answer questions from Census Officials regarding where we spent the 27th June, 2021 known as the CENSUS NIGHT.
In addition, all the questions to be asked during enumeration will make reference to the Census Night of 27th June, 2021. *In other to make it much easier for our people to remember or recall Honourable Members, we need to organize some events such as* *Durbars,* *Tolling of church bells,* *Road floats,* *The use of announcement centers to broadcasts the day* *Or cultural shows* *in all communities to make the night memorable.* *That way, reference to the CENSUS NIGHT to get the correct answers from members of the household will be easier in our Electoral Areas.* The counting and enumeration of persons in households will take place between 28th June and 11th July 2021.
Please take note of the persons that will sleep in your household on the Census Night because you will have to provide detailed information on all of them. Remember that adult members of a household can answer questions on behalf of other household members so persons in doubt should kindly check with the other household members whether an enumerator visited in their absence and whether questions were answered on their half. Many thanks. You Count, Get Counted.
